AAOP 2020: Update on Health, TMD and Sleep from a Global Perspective

Disney's Grand Floridan Resort & Spa, Orlando, Florida

#AAOP2020 COVID-19 Update

We look forward to seeing many of you at the 2020 AAOP Scientific meeting which is proceeding as planned May 7-10.  We realize these are uncertain times in light of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak.  The current CDC risk for COVID-19 is low, but we will continue to monitor the situation and update you all as more information is available. We look forward to seeing you all in Orlando. so we want to take a moment to keep you abreast and let you know we are paying close attention to this evolving situation.    The health and safety of our attendees is our top priority.

To help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses, including flu and COVID-19, attendees are encouraged to comply with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations:

-Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

- Avoid touching your face.

-Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

- Stay home when sick.

- Cough or sneeze into your elbow or use a tissue to cover your sneeze, then throw the tissue in the trash.

- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

-Avoid handshaking or cheek-kissing as greetings; use the elbow bump instead.

Registration to our meeting remains strong and we remain optimistic about a successful and well-attended Annual Meeting. Disney (Orlando) who is hosting the event is taking precautions as detailed in the following: Walt Disney World-COVID 19 Precautions and Disney FAQ on Health & Hygiene
