Biography
Dr. Harold Menchel is a 1978 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He served an Army residency in Fort Campbell Kentucky from 1978-81 and has been in private practice in Coral Springs Florida with his wife Dr. Vicki Menchel since then. He now limits his practice to orofacial pain.
Dr. Menchel has had training at the Pankey Institute from 1989-95, and additional training at the University of Florida Parker Mahan Facial Pain Center under the tutelage of Drs. Henry Gremillion and Parker Mahan. He achieved Diplomate status in the American Board of Orofacial Pain in 2000.
Dr. Menchel is a fellow of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain and serves as the chairman of the Access to Care Committee. He is member of the American Headache Society, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, Seattle Study Club, and numerous other professional organizations.He is past president of Broward County DentaL Association and received the association's appreciation award for his local service to the dental community.
Dr. Menchel has been a guest lecturer at Nova Southeastern dental school since 2002, teaching both undergraduates, residents, and continuing education courses for graduate dentists. He has been lecturing worldwide since 1999 on the topic of TMD and orofacial pain. He is listed on the Seattle Study Club Speaker's Bureau and Strauman international speaker's bureau.
