Biography
Eveline Erni, PT, MA, CMA, CCTT, CODN
Ms. Eveline Erni received her physical therapy degree in 1984 from The University Hospital in Zurich, Switzerland. In 1986, she completed the Laban/Bartenieff certificate program in movement analysis (CMA) and in 1993 received a Masters in Movement Sciences from Columbia University.
Ms Erni is an affiliate member of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain and a member of the Physical Therapy Board of Craniofacial and Cervical Therapeutics (PTBCCT). She currently serves as the Chair of the AAOP Physical Therapy Committee and the AAOP Physical Therapy Speaker Committee. She is a certified physical therapist in temporomandibular disorders (CCTT) and orofacial dry needling (CODN).
Ms Erni holds a faculty appointment at the New York University College of Dentistry since 1994, where she is an Adjunct Clinical Instructor in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology, Radiology & Medicine. Additional faculty appointments are held at the Hospital for Special Surgery Rehabilitation Department and at Touro College for their Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency program and the College of Staten Island, where she lectures in the DPT program on the topic of TMD and Headaches.
Over the past 15 years she has taught post graduate courses on evaluation and treatment of temporomandibular disorders to physical therapists and dentists.
Ms Erni is the owner and clinical director of Pivotal Physical Therapy in Manhattan, New York for 25 years. Her practice has been a member of The Hospital for Special Surgery’s Rehabilitation Network since 1998.
